April 17, 2015 marks National Donate Blue & Green Day, which was instituted by the not-for-profit organization, Donate Life America. A few of us heard about it last minute and were able to throw on some blue and green threads in support of the cause. “It saved my brother-in-laws life. He had a liver transplant almost 3 years ago,” said Jessica Bentz, Digital Marketing Account Manager at eBizAutos. “Without this organization, he would not be here today.”
During this day, the public is encouraged to wear blue and green, hold events and fundraisers, and partner with local restaurants, malls, media, and community organizations in an effort to promote the success of organ, eye and tissue transplantation and the extreme need for registered donors. We look forward to National Donate Blue & Green Day in 2016 where we will spread the word about a great and worthy organization.
